Types of Bingo

Here, you will find out about the different types of Bingo games and the basic rules for all of them. Bingo is a simple game, but you must pay close attention to the variations between games such as the pattern involved, the card price, the jackpot, etc.

Horizontal:

When playing horizontal bingo, in order to win, you must form a straight, horizontal line on your bingo card. This kind of bingo is quite easy to get. Especially if you happen to get one across the middle line that includes the free space; if you’re lucky enough to get this line, you will only need 4 numbers to win!

Vertical:

When playing vertical bingo, you must form a straight vertical line on your bingo card in order to win. It is one of the traditional 5-in-a-Row bingo patterns and one of the favorites among bingo players. This bingo is quite easy to get.

Diagonal:

When playing diagonal bingo, in order to win, you must form a diagonal line across your bingo card, which includes the middle square (commonly known as “free square”). The diagonal can be formed either from the top left corner across the bottom right corner or from the bottom left corner across the top right corner on your bingo card.

Coverall Bingo

This is the most popular type of bingo pattern and is the one referred to in the “Bingo Rules” section. Since this pattern is the hardest to get, lots of online sites use this pattern for their jackpot games, making the game more interesting and stimulating for everyone.

Pattern Bingo

In this particular game, the pattern is slightly more complex than a vertical, horizontal or diagonal pattern. The pattern here is based on shapes such as an arrow, the letter “x”, four corners, just to name a few.
