Bingo rules

Regular bingo cards used in traditional bingo halls as well as in online bingo sites have a 5x5 grid. Each row relates to each one of the letters in the word “Bingo”. This means that the first row is letter B, the second is letter I, the third is letter N, and so on.

A part from this, a series of numbers correspond to each letter too. This is shown below:

B: from 1 to 15
I: from 16 to 30
N: from 31 to 45 (four numbers and one blank)
G: from 46 to 60
O: from 61 to 75

The objective of the game is to win the jackpot, and in order to achieve this, one of the card’s lines must be completed. If the game is won by more than one player, the prize is split between the players in equal parts.

Before you buy bingo cards, make sure to remember a few details that could truly make a difference and increase your probabilites of winning. First of all, if you have the possibility of choosing your own cards, do so. Avoid picking high numbers and do not accept cards which have numbers below 19. The best move is to pick cards that have numbers between 19 and 29.

The rules in bingo are very simple. A moderator calls out the numbers which have randomly been drawn. The players then mark them on the card or cards that they have. The numbers that have been drawn are shown on a bingo board which also displays the kind of game being played. The type of game being played is very important, as the completion of numbers varies from one to another, which makes some games easier than others.

The easier games are the ones that, in order to win, you must complete a straight line which can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal. The most common game played around the world is called “coverall”, where the player, in order to win, must complete the entire card.

Bingo is a game where the players involved have to pay close attention and mark their cards with precision and pretty fast. The numbers drawn are announced quickly and in general, no more than 10 seconds pass between the calling of one number and the next.

When playing in a land-based bingo hall, each player will have to mark on his or her own cards the numbers that have been drawn (the ones that coincide with the ones that he has on his card).

On the other hand, when playing in online bingos, the “auto-mark” optin is available for whoever wishes, where the numbers are automatically marked in all of the player’s bingo cards as they are drawn.

The numbers are announced without stopping, until one of the players calls out “Bingo”. The winner is then verified and given the prize; bingo cards can be bought once again and the game will begin all over again.
